During my time in PalTV, and particularly as Head of Broadcasting, I was involved in many projects. Below is a small subset with the relevant credits.
Durham Regatta 2023 & 2024
Live coverage of the 190th and 191st Durham Regatta (2023 & 2024): two twelve hour days of rowing with approximately 10,000 visitors each year and over 400.
Project leader, overall responsible for all aspects
In particular, responsible for tech and marketing/sponsorships
Managing and assigning teams from a registered crew of over 80
Point of contact for Durham Regatta event runners
Designed our setup with: 6 riverside cameras, 2 remote cameras, 2 studio cameras, and live commentators and presenters
Created custom software for two additional ultra-low latency cameras, routed through NAT over the Internet, that were a kilometre away and could be added as input sources to our vision mixer (ATEM Mini HDMI series)
Set up a networking solution involving dishes (radios) to beam a connection from 500 metres away with a failover 4G LTE connection
Created a custom live graphics solution
Negotiated contracts for sponsors: title sponsor and two adverts

DUCFS 2023
Largest student-run charity event in Europe, the last day of the 40th anniversary of the Durham University Charity Fashion Show was broadcasted live, including the reveal of the £221,000 total.
Broadcast Controller
Description
Helped design the camera and tech layout and assess the technical capabilities in the venue
Created the technical loadouts for the broadcast
Operated the final mixing software, combining the camera and audio inputs, and then broadcasted this final mix
Negotiated the live showing across multiple bars/venues in Durham
Helped with the marketing of the broadcast
PalTV Debates
Long-form debate show featuring local politicians (Mary Foy MP and Cllr Amanda Hopgood) and student leaders (Joshua Freestone, DSU, Urwah Murza, Josephine Butler JCR, and Daniel Hodgson, Palatinate).
